First let me say I don’t believe I said anything about a will?
Second when I first started in 2003, I said these rolls were for the Rev. War, that was in error the rolls are for both the Rev. War, and the War of 1812. Because of the dates I would say he was in the War of 1812, but he could have been in both wars.

State: Pennsylvania.
County: Adams
Name Isaac Hagerman.
Service: 22nd., regiment infantry.
Died December 13, 1813.
Heirs were” John, Martha, Maria, Sarah and Elizabeth Hagerman.
Allowance: $48, dollars per year.
Sums received: $240, dollars.
Placed on rolls: March 5, 1819.
Commencement of pension: February 17, 1815.
Pension Ending: February 17, 1820.

Looking for any information about Doris or Donald Hagerman born in New York in 1916.

Listed in the 1930 census living in Burnham, Cook, Illinois with grandparents Edward and Irene Montondo. Parent's birth places are Pennsylvania and Michigan.

Cannot locate them in 1920 census.

Irene's maiden name may be McCurley and her first husband might be Milton Hagerman. Believe these are her grandchildren through one of her sons.

Hi everyone!

My name is Scotty Hagerman. Im trying to do a little family research, but I've stumbled onto a road block. I can not seem to find out who my great great grandfather was. Everyone seems to not know who he was. I can go back to my great grandfather who was John Hagerman who married a Bethel, from that marriage came William Edward Hagerman (d.2003) who married a Chole Hagerman, and from that marriage came my father Johnathon Ray Hagerman who married Juanita Muncy.

To the best of my knowledge these families all lived in southern WV...mostly McDowell County possibly War, and the surrounding towns.

I am not sure if there is anything to this? My father was born in 1914 to a Lyle & Rose Hagerman in Kent county, Grand Rapids, Michigan, a short time later Lyle walked out on his family, his wife could not care for their son so placed him in orphanage.

My grandfather was named James Hagerman, grandson of Eli Jefferson Hagerman. Eli was born 13 Dec. 1822 in Washington Co. OH. I have thought that the Hagermans of Lycoming PA. might be related but I have never found proof.

I have never been able to find Eli's parents or any siblings.

Very interesting. My Hagerman roots are from Anthony Township, Montour Co., PA (an area where I grew up--about 15 miles southeast of Williamsport). There were Hagermans in Williamsport as early as 1790, I believe. I had not heard of your branch, particularly the changing of the name to Hecknauer. I think that this is very odd to have changed the name. What would have prompt them to do so?

Most Hagermans in the US came from Holland to New Amsterdam (NYC) in mid 1600's and migrated from there. Mine came through NJ. Yes, there are Hagermans from Germany but the vast majority were from Holland. The James V. Brown Library in Williamsport has info. on the early Hagermans of Lycoming Co.

I live in Adam's County, PA. There are Hagermans here. There was an Aaron Hagerman that settled at Williamsport, Lycoming Co., PA in the 1790's, too (an area I am familiar with).

I received an email from a man whose last name was Hagerman (I believe he said he was a teacher and we established we were indeed related) He related to me that Sam Hagerman had moved to California sometime in the late 20s or 30s, which is the case, and I was to send him some information. Elgin, Illinois: At Sherman Hospital in this city Mrs. Hagerman, of Algonquin, gave birth to two sons and one daughter, weighing respectively 7, 7 1/2 and 8 pounds. The children are all perfectly formed and healthy. Mrs. Hagerman, who is 38 years of age, has given birth to nineteen children, all of whom are living.

I am looking for info on the death of Erma Hagerman. She was from McDowell Co.,WV but died in Pinhook,VA. Her death occurred in 2002.
