Hallo! Ich heiße Madeleine und ich bin ein Hagge leben in Charlottesville, VA. I am American, but I LOVE German. Must be in embedded in my anima. It's so interesting to have learned that the Hagge's have a coat of arms. What a privilege it feels like, I would love to see it and maybe (definitely) do something with it art-wise. If it is convenient for you to send it in my direction, it would be greatly appreciated.

Can anyone tell me where Geroge Hagge was born ? Date is Jun 1, 1898 and where did he die? date is Jun 3, 1966
Bertha H. A. Jacobsen was born in 1902 in Columbia twp, Tama, Iowa and died in 1991 in Howard, Miner, SD, I think.
They wre married to Jul 9, 1921 in Howard, Miner, SD and they had one child, Dorothy in 1922 who married a man by name of Tripp and had two children, Gary, and Vicki.
I need Dorothy's database and who she married.

A biography/family history of Carl Hagge is included in "Montana, Its Story & Biography", Vol 2, pages 153 & 154.

Parents: Hans & Rosa (Eggen) Hagge, both born in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Carl attended schools in Charter County, IA, and graduated Charter Oak HS in 1901; Fremont (NE) Business School, 1902-03. In 1918 located in Billings, Montana.

In 1913, Ellendale, ND, Carl married Miss Lulu Webb, daughter of Richard & Emma (Glenn) Webb, of Lindsay, CA. Hagge children: Dorothy, b. 26 Oct 1914; Howard, b. 4 Dec 1916.

I am not related.

The William or "Will" Haage was the father of Gene Haage. They lived in Ogden, Boone County, Iowa. His given name may have been Eugene. May I still contact you at the e-mail address you gave? Amil Hagge married Louise Baumann

I am looking for info on this family. I believe Amil or possibly Emil married Louise Baumann. He was born about 1820-30. Their children were Amil, Mary, who married a Bolmar, Fred, whose wife I think was Bertha, and an infant, name unknown and another daughter Lena, probably short for Magdalena. Mary lived for a time with her Aunt Mary Schrey in New York with her own son Fred. It is possible the rest of the family moved away to other states; I am desperate for any info on this family.

john henry haggie had a brother hans and three sisters; katherine who was called kate and was married to a 'schulz', annie who married a 'lemke', and margaret.
they all came to america from germany along with their parents clous h hagge and catherine e hagge.
John Henry Haggie added the 'i' to the spelling.

i response to you. i knew a joeseph hagge in venice fl. his father i believe the name was david hails from iowa as does the rest of his family, i know that joe went on to college at stetson university and is now believed to be residing in tampa fl. his family i believe is still in venice or nokomis florida somewhere.

Hi Hagges,

I'm a Hagge living in Germany. Our family has a 'coats of amrs' (if this is the right word, I look it up in a dictonary). Anyway, it's a sign which we received several hundred years ago from a german blue blood named 'fritz'. Found this in the Ogden Reporter, Ogden, Iowa, July 25, 1935

Obituary

Peter Hagge, 85 years, passed away at his home in Grand Junction Iowa following a weeks illness.

Death was due to complications and old age.

Mr. Hagge made his home in Ogden for several years and was well known by several people of this community.

The deceased was born in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. He came to America and lived in the vicinity of Ogden and moved from here to Grand Junction where resided for the past twelve years.

Those who mourn his passing are his wife and five children, Henry and Dave Hagge of Ogden, Mrs. Pete Thompson of Paton, Mrs. Pete Fincham of Dana, and Mrs. Guy Ewing of Grand Junction, several grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Four children preceded Mr. Hagge in death.

Services were conducted last Sunday afternoon, July 21at 1:30 o'clock at the home and 2:00 at the Presbyterian church at Grand Junction with the pastor of that church in charge. Internment was made at the Lutheran cemetery, northwest of Ogden.

Pallbearers were the grandsons of the deceased: Harry Kummerfeldt of Ruthven, Iowa, Leo Thompson and Harry Hagge of Paton, Russell Fincham of Dana, Eldon Ewing of Grand Junction and Donald Hagge of Ogden.
