I have two photos of a Hagler family. There are no given names. The only reference (other than surname) is to No. Arkansas. Also, these were in a box of auction stuff in SW Missouri. Late 1800s to early 1900s clothing. One has a mule team in front of the homestead. Hope this helps to find a family these photos connect to.
Thank you

father of Blanche Mildred & husband of Alice Ruby

Looking for info on Alice Ruby Scanlan/Scanlon. Had a daughter Blanche Mildred July 25 El Paso, TX with (unknown at this time) Hagler/Hagler. Alice then married William Franklin Reed, had 4 or 5 other children (Robert, Maude, Ruth, Laura) per 1920 El Paso census

Blanche Mildred married Herbert Cox of AR & had son Herbert Cox Jr in 1927 El Paso, TX. On death certificate (attached), she is listed as Blanche Mildred Mallicoat. Informant of death is Albert R. Mallicoat. Parents of Blanche on death certificate are listed as Ruby Alice Scanlan & William Franklin Reed, but I am told her father was Hagler/Hegler.

I appreciate any info on Alice Ruby Scanlan/Scanlon, Blanche Mildred Hagler/Hegler, and her father.

ryan_waller@hotmail.com for replies please

Donald if you check my "Davis/Moskal Bryant/Cordle Hagler/Davis Family Tree" you will find that the tree for Hagler is taken from the book that was put out by Gordon Hubbard with the assistance of LaJoie Roberts. This Hagler book was just distributed to the Hagler line that (I am supposing) reguested one. I am going to get copies made of it for my children in the near future. I will have one made for you if you like. Can't say it will be in the next monthor two though. It was printed in 1981, so most of the research was accomplished by good old hard work research, not like we are now pecking away on this computer keyboard.
I have the copy my Grandmother Cullie Davis had. Hope this helps.
Cousin Yvonne

What do you have on the Jacob Hagler b.abt.1768 SC d.aft.1860 AL? He had two daughters, Rebecca b. 1798 SC and Susannah b.abt.1791 SC and both the daughters married into the Overton family in 1817 in Jasper Co., GA.

Jacob was on the Census in Camden District, SC in 1790, in Lancaster Co., SC in 1800 and 1810 and then appears in Cobb Co., GA in 1840 and again in 1860 in Gordon Co., GA. He married a Kizziah Thomas in 1837 in Fayette Co., GA.

It is believed that he moved to TN after 1810 where his daughters when to school before marrying the Overton boys in 1817.

Trying to figure out which Hagler Clan he belongs to..

Steve Overton

Don, I have a huge Hagler base (several lines). My wife Kathleen is a Hagler descendant of Johannes Haegler of Wilkes Co., NC & b. 1733 Diegten, Switzerland.

I show you (with wife Gail and dau Donna) as a descendant thru Walden8, Coleman7, James6, Adam5, John4, J.Peter3, John(the Cripple)2, of Johannes Haegler1 (of Mecklenburg Co., NC & b. 1726 Switzerland).

These are the 2 principal Hagler lines, both from Switzerland and likely related somehow/somewhere there in the distant past. There's at least a 3rd Hagler line from Jakob Hegler who came in through Charleston, SC from Baden. Over the years several spelling changes (e.g. Haigler, Haygler) have also popped up to further confuse us.

Does your data coincide with mine as to your tree?

Bob Duggan in Stone Mtn, GA (r.duggan@ieee.org)
