We originated in Switzerland, migrated to Germany, then on to Pennsylvania, Virginia and North Carolina. So when searching you will have to use a variety of surnames, as the original speely is HAGY, however it changed to Hagi, Haggi, Hegy, depending on where they were at the time. I have them traced back to 1641, that is 51 years before Columbus sailed the blue.
