Re: William Jacob Hahn/Elizabeth Potts

This is a correction! William Jacob Hahn's 1st wife Elizabeth Potts was NOT the daughter of Loami Potts' 1st wife Elizabeth. She is supposed to be the daughter of his 3rd wife Matilda Hicks. However she was apparently born 9 months before Loami & Matilda married. It is possible that Elizabeth is the daughter of Matilda & her 1st husband John Wesley Potts (Loami's cousin?). John is supposed to have divorced Matilda and moved to California before she married Loami. If so, Elizabeth was raised as Loami & Matilda's daughter. Anyone have any records (not just hearsay) that might either confirm or disprove this?

I am Mary Ellen and my mother was Cecilia Ernst who was 6 years younger than Frances. I came to the wake but not to the funeral. My husband, Carver, had just died and I couldn't handle the funeral. How is your Grandma doing? I was wondering the names, birthdays of the descendants of your Uncles and Aunt. I know at one time I got them but I remember at the wake talking to Richard and having him tell me that some of my information was incorrect. I remember given everyone a printout of their family but only Tom told me if I was correct. I just assumed that if I didn't get a correction it was correct. My tree is at: http://www.myheritage.com/site-409333/tink0-web-site

My guess is that at that time I was looking for parental info for Frances and Jerry along with birth and death dates for as far back as possible. Also as far forward as possible. Forward is the easy part.

Just for your info. Frances and my mother were raised together and my mother's mother was Frances' sister, Clara, who died of leukemia in her late 20's. Mom was 12 she told me.

Christian Hahn b. May 14, 1834 somewhere in U.S. by 1871 in ON, Canada

I am searching for infomormation on my Gr. Gr. Grandfather, Christian Hahn. Born May 14, 1834 somewhere in the U.S.
Both his mother and father were born in Germany. He came to Canada at some point. He is listed in the 1871 Census incorrectly as "Christina" Hahn. The 1881 Census of Amabel Bruce North, Ontario Canada lists his name correctly as Christian and notes he is married to Maria and lists their 8 children. One of those children is my Gr. Grandfather Chester (Ed) Hahn born Dec. 16 (or 18th), 1866.(Chester married Alma Solome Brown on Dec. 21, 1892.)
I have family notes listing Christian having died on April 6, 1899, however, I found on the 1911 Census Canada as living with his son James Hahan (note the different spelling of "Hahn") in Owen Sound, Grey North, Ontario, Canada.
If anyone has any connections here, please contact me at kimdale@rogers.com. Thanks
