I have come across some burial and marriage records in Illinois for my ancestors and they seemed to ahve traveled with the Haigs and married them.
I have a John Haig died September 1, 1924 at the age of 60y 2m 14d of Cerebral Hemmorhage single buried at Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Washburn Illinois sec5 lot 33 4ft s. end undertaker was H Frank Ehrenger
Adam Haig died March 16, 1925 at the age of 73y 6m 6d of dilation of the heart-acute married Agnes Corbin buried in Mt. Vernon Cemetery at Washburn Illinois sec 5 lot 33 s 4' n 101/2 undertaker H Frank Ehrenger
Agnes (Corbin)Haig died August 1 1930 of Carcenoma at the age of 80y 7m 12d sec 5 lot 33 s4" n61/2' Died in Denver and transported to Illinois undertaker R.L. Pacey
Jean Haig died December 5, 1974 at the age of 50 cancer sec5 lot 37 n4' of s 8'.
I have a William Corbin that married a Margaret Haig.
I have a Joseph Corbin that married Anna Tolhan and her parents are Hiram Tolhan and Jesse Haig.
Hiram Tolhan married Jessie Haig on October 9 1861 in Woodford Co., Illinois.
So the Haigs ahve a history in Illinois and I know there has to be ancestors out there. Dan Corbin
