In October of 2007, I sent the message below to these lists in hopes of finding living descendants of the folks in this little album. I have changed email providers and am updating the information. While in Nashville, TN today I found an album of tintype photos. The album is 5 3/4 x 4 1/2 inches in size, with a metal clasp for closing. The spine is taped. The photos in the album are labeled with some stating relationships. I could not bear the thought of someone purchasing the album and removing all of the lovely tintypes and selling them one by one.
I am searching for a direct descendant of Alpheus Tompkins and his wife Rachel Miller. I would like to see this album returned to the family.
I am sending this same message to the message boards for the names listed below and to the Rootsweb lists for these names.
The spellings of each family name are my best interpretation of the writing in the album.
