BARCLAY, Freda A. 86, of South Charleston, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2012 in Miami Valley Hospital.
She was born January 5, 1926 in Sedalia, Ohio, the daughter of Lawrence and Iva (Thornton) Hakes.
Mrs. Barclay enjoyed doing latch hooking, cooking and baking and was well known for her home made noodles.
She had been employed at the Clifton Mill for 15 years.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law; Larry (Jeanine) Barclay, Lonnie (Bobby Jo) Barclay and David Barclay, two daughters and son-in-law; Debbie Esterline (Tom Waugh) and Kelly (Kent) Ankeney, eleven grandchildren; Randy (Sue), Rod (Dionne), Ryan (Faith), Stacy, Josh (Kristen) Barclay, Jodi (Scott) Kulka, Melanie (Jesse) Adams, Christopher and Natalie Ankeney, Zach and Brandon, Barclay, twenty great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; Forrest J. "Dutch" Barclay, September 1, 2009, sisters; Opal Overholser and Jane Stiner, brothers; James Hakes, Golden Hakes and Leroy Thomas, one great grandchild and her parents.
Visitation will be held from 2:00PM until 6:00PM Sunday in the JONES- KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Monday in the funeral home.
Burial will follow in Garlough Cemetery.
