Ray I tried and failed to contact you direct so I am using message board again. The first Janet b was bp 22/09/1781 per Alloa PR. I assume she died quite young because a second Janet was bp 29/2/1788. The second Janet (Chapman) had 4 children bp at Radwinter betw 1827/34. "Janet" probably derives from her mother who was I believe Janet Douglas bp 17/10/1756 at Monzie Perth.
According to Peter H 1944 death cert he died from "gangrene of the lower extremities" at the age of 51. Today that would be described as a diabetic complication. I know there are descendants with diabetes. I could not find any other Peter H with as many "links". First the age in 1841 and 1844, second the occupation as Tailor first recorded at Wells St
Scotch Church for the birth of his 5 children and repeated in 1841and on Death Cert, the Chapman link, and finally the diabetes. I am convinced we have the correct Peter. Hope this helps. John
