Looking for info on John Wesley Hall, married to Ella (or Ellen) Blanch Roberts in Hillborough County, FL, on 26 November 1892. He was lost at sea while Ella was pregnant with their son, John Samuel Hall (my grandfather). Family lore says John Wesley Hall was moving lumber via a barge or tugboat to the Isthmus of Panama and was lost in a storm in 1892 or 1893. The Roberts family is huge - does anyone know the story of John Wesley Hall? Ella's parents were David Roberts and Mary Sarah Russell. Thanks!

My grandmother said she was Cherokee and some of my aunts looked Indian. They all had the brown complection. But those names are not familiar to me and I have my direct line. Some of the branches of the Halls may be yours. I have not researched those lines. But being from Georgia and Alabama, especially Georgia there may be a relationship to my line.
I read you posting for Alva Franklin, Judge Joe Hall, Etc in Christian County, MO. I am a descendant of Judge Joel Hall and live within 25 miles of where Judge Hall lived and is buried along with MANY of our family. There are 2 Hall cemeteries in Christian county. I also have a story as to when and why Joel Hall and his family moved to MO in 1850

Some of dad's living aunts & a uncle says they are Cherokee Indian but can't be proved. His g grand dad was Oliver R Hall & wife Susan Wood and his gg grand dad is Joseph H Hall & Mary T.

They had a son Oliver R. & grandson Joseph Marion Hall. My dad was from this family & always said that they were Cherokee Indian. Have not been able to prove this but he has a Uncle still living & some other family members saying the same but I can't prove nothing.

Hi,
I am working my family tree and it seems that my paternal 11th GGF Judge Richard Miles B:1598 Great Munden,Hertfordshire,Eng D:1666/7 in Milford,New Haven ,Conneticut is the 2nd GGF to Lyman Hall(signer of the Declaration of Independance). Richard's 2nd wife Katherine Elithorpe(my 11th GGm)is the mother of Anna Miles who married Samuel Street and I think this is the connection but I have hit the wall and can't get any further with this line.Any help would be much appreciated.
