Hello, I hope I can still connect with you! My ancestor Blanche Aileen Halladay was my great grandmother who was the aunt of Robin Ellsworth Halladay. She would babysit for him and his brother , I don't have the info infront of me, but I think his name was Claire? I a picture of her in her teens with both the boys together, c. abt 1890

Do you have Vincent and Thurza's marriage certificate, as this will give his father's name/occupation? This should help you to find him on the 1901 and/or 1911 censuses.

Hello Barbara; I am a daughter of Howard Wright Halladay, my sisters are Beatrice, Linda, and Marie Halladay, my brothers are George,Harold,Micheal,and Wayne Halladay, My Brother Wayne passed away in 2006, my mother is Lorrian Yvonne and is still living, my father Howard passed away in 1958, here in Michigan and is buried in Muskegon Michigan. I just found your post by accident while looking into my family's geneology, We grew up in Delwin Michigan, which is very close to Mt. Pleasant, I now reside in Mt. I'm looking for someone who knows of a Arthur Halladay who grew up in Oswego, NY and live in Kenmore in 1949 and Schenectady in 1952. He went to Union College in Schenectady starting in 1933.

He does not appear in the SSN death list, nor is a current listing of where he might live right now.

I was told by my mother we were descended from the Narragansett Indians but I have never been able to find any proof of this. Possibly it was before Bela Halladay, which is where I hit a dead end. Or maybe on one of the other lines.

James Erwin's father was William Henry Halladay and his mother was Herriett Ellen Brandt. I have no more info on his mother. His grandparents were Joseph Halladay and Mary Martha Strong. His great grandparents were Bela Halladay (my 3rd great grandfather) and Lucinda Baker. My Haladay line ends there. I have a little more on Lucinda Baker and Mary Martha Strong.

my great granfather was a halladay ray b. halladay , laura gagle married him they were from reed city michigan he was french canadian he had red hair and so did 2 of his sons jr. halladay was killed in world war 2 he was in the navy the living brothers were forest navy world war 2was killed rendell virginia carl blair who was killed in a logging accident ray hallady had the the first lumber mill in ruidoso , n.m. there are three halladays still living in ruidoso , n.m.

We have a lot of pictures of James later in life. His nickname was alway "Big Jim". From our records we know he was born in 1843 in Ashton, MI . He later married Mary Adelaide Wing and later moved to Leeds County, Ontario. I would be interested in seeing "Big Jim" in his early years if this is the same one. There are a lot of us.

I do not think this James is the same as the Big Jim you discussed in last update. James Halladay in Battle Creek was married to MaryAnn Fiero, she died of paralysis and a few months later he died too of thyfoid fever in Battle Creek, Mi.on April 5, 1875 was born Nov 29, 1804 in Geneva NY. There were many Halladays in Battle Creek in those days.

I have a Calvin Halladay in my family. He was the son of James Halladay and Rebecca Copely. They had 8 children, and Calvin was the youngest. I don't have a birthdate for him, but his siblings were born from 1761 through 1771, and the last 2 children were born after that. His father (James) was born in Simsbury Township, Hartford, CT., on Sept. 28, 1733.

I have info on this line that goes back to England in 1620. If you think these are the same people, let me know and I can send you what I know in Family Tree Maker format.

Erastus Darwin Halladay (b. 4/12/1852 / d. 9/23/1908) and his wife Henrietta Teresa Gaines(b. 3/15/1867 / d. 6/27/1950), were my Great Grandparents on my mothers side. Carlos Darwin Halladay and Roxina Sheldon were his parents. I have quite a bit of info on them including some pictures. Let me know what you need and I can send them to you in Family Tree format.

I have a William Halladay born in 1813, married to a Sabrina Whitney born 1822. They were married in 1842, and had 6 children. Sarah, Harlow, Lenora, Flora, Mary, and Carrie.

I have William's parents as Oliver Halladay and Lepha Brown, he was born in 1789 and died in 1865. They had 11 children. I also have 6 generation before Oliver. If you think these are the same, let me know and I can send you my info on them in a Family Tree format.

Azariah (the younger one born in 1782) was listed in the 1850 Indiana census as being born in CT. I'm doing the "needle in the haystack" search through one township after another in CT, but no luck so far. Where in CT are your Halladays from?

I've been searching all of the records that are on microfilm in Salt Lake City for any mention of Azariah, but to no avail. So now I'm checking the surrounding towns. No luck yet, but I did talk to a descendant of Amos Halladay (b 1747) whose family tradition holds that he was born in New Haven. I've looked a bit, found nothing so far, but haven't exhausted the possibilities.

She was born in 1868 in Battle Creek. She married Walter Parmelee. Her father was Asahel and mother Enna (Emma) Vucker or Decke. Asahel's father was Peter Van Gelden Fiero I think, but I have not been able to find any vital records for Zella to verify the connections found in trees on web. If anyone has sources/vital record detail would really appreciate info.
