I am searching for more information on James W. Halley born in Virginia (wife Martha) who was living in Lawrence Co. AL in 1830; by 1840 and 1850 he was living in Carroll Co., MS; by 1860 he was living in Drew Co., AR. It appears he was related to the Halleys of Union Parish and Richland Parish, Louisiana, because I found William A. Halley, the brother of my great grandmother Martha Melissa Halley (daughter of John W. Halley of Virginia) there as well. Both lived near the Ethridge families there (my grandfather was John Albert Ethridge). All the families connected with my Halley line are found there: Thurman, Montgomery, Classen, Ethridge and others.
