Joseph Blake Halley, 18,
of Hunker, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2008,
in Mt. Pleasant.
He was born March 1, 1990, in Mt. Pleasant,
the son of Joseph and Wendy Coleman Halley.
Joe was a junior at Hempfield Area High School,
where he participated on the varsity football team.
He was an avid sports fan,
supporting the Steelers, Penguins and Pitt Panthers, and his favorite professional basketball player was LeBron James. But most of all, he enjoyed his many friends.
He will be sadly missed by his parents;
his sister; Brittany Halley; maternal grandparents, Robert Coleman, of Greensburg, and Betty Coleman, of Mt. Pleasant; maternal great-grandparents, Catherine and JC Brock, of Sandusky, Ohio,
and Edna Coleman, of Mt. Pleasant;
an uncle, Daniel Augustine, of Hunker;
an aunt, Robin Nicholson and husband, Terry, of Mt. Pleasant; great-uncles, Frank R. Coleman, of Harrisburg,
and John A. Coleman, of Mt. Pleasant;
and cousins, Haley and Lacey Nicholson.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mary Halley Augustine
and Ralph Halley;
maternal great-grandfather, Frank Coleman;
and maternal great-great-grandparents, Walter and Emma Overly.
The family is inviting friends
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday to the EUGENE G. SALOOM FUNERAL SERVICE INC., 730 W. Main St., Mt. Pleasant, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. William C. McGuirk officiating. Interment in Central Cemetery, Hempfield Township.
