Halliday of this family was
Lord Mayor of
London, 1605. There is a medieval
Brass plate to Edward
Halliday (d.1519) in Holy Trinity Church in Minchinhampton.
I have been unable to connect with my
Halliday ancestors in Painswick which is quite nearby.
Never heard of Master of the
Revels. Could it be Master of the
Rolls which is a state legal position which still exists.
