I am looking for the wife of Charles C. Ham (b. 1806 New Meadows, Maine), son of James Ham and his cousin Mary Ham. He is also the great-grandson of Tobias Ham of Portsmouth NH and Brunswick, Maine. Census records indicate that his wife's name is Charlotte T. Ham. When my grandmother, Helen Atkinson Ham, looked into the Ham genealogy years ago she listed Charles' wife as Charlotte Thompson but I have found other records that list her as Charlotte Lincoln. Is there a "Ham Family" expert out there who knows Charlotte's maiden name and lineage? Thanks...any hints greatly appreciated.

I am searching for lineage from my gr-grandfather Troy A. Ham. I've haven't been able to confirm who his parents were. I do have his obituary and this is the info I have:
b. 5/2/1890 d. 7/29/1956 Greene Co. IN
a sister Nora Pearl Sanborn m. Harry Sanborn
2 bros. Harley and Frank (I believe William Frank)
and a half bro. Dallas Burch
Troy first married Nora Ethel (Livingston) and was Married to Emma (Christy I believe to be her maiden name) at the time of his death.
His obituary names his step children as: Arthur and Robert Abram, Mrs. Logan Howard and Mrs. Doyle Cantrell all of Bloomington, IN.
I believe his father to be William M. Ham b. 1857 d. 1900 and his mother to be Almira Abram who married again to Joel Burch.
Does anyone have information on this family to share?

I'm interested in the John Hams in SC in Union, Fairfield, Edgefield or other counties in 1790-1810. One of them had several sons with unusual names: Archibald, Littleton, Ichabud, etc. They moved into Georgia in early 1800's - Washington, Wilkinson, Twiggs -- it seemed to be in central Georgia but not the Ham in Elbert County.

Here is my line...Great Grandfather Jordan Elzavan Ham/Hamm married Ada Florence Morris. Jordan Elzavan's father was William Jordan Ham who married Columbia McMelion. William Jordan's father was (I believe) John Ham who married Sarah Landreth. If anyone knows more or might be able to tell me how to purchase the book, I would love to know more on my Ham/Hamm family!

My grandmother Angeline Ham told that she had Indian blood. She was born in GA in 1851 and married in LA in 1869. She said she received a letter from Oklahoma. It stated that she had land there, but in order to claim it she would have to live there. I am assuming this would be from one of the Indian reservations. Does anyone know how I might possibly get information or verify if this is true. I do not know which tribe she would have been part of.

Would like to find out where Dorothy "Brown" Ham is buried> She was the daughter of Unight and Rebecca "Arnold" Brown. They are buried in Fayette Corner Cemetery Fayette Me. Kennebec Cty., so is her son Reuben Ham and wife Elizabeth "Bean" Ham. Husband also a Reuben Ham may be buried in Sangerville Me. Dorothy lived with son and wife in Fayette, one census refers to her as Dolly. Paperwork says she died in 1875, but not where.

I am looking for information on Carl Miller born abt. December 1899 Horse Creek Ashe Co. NC. His mother was Susan Ham born Ashe Co NC. She was the daughter of John Alley Ham. Carl married a Woodards which I think her name was Ida the daughter of William (Billy) Woodards and Susie Owens. If anyone has information on any of these people please contact me. I have one report that the Woodards wife shot and killed Carl after 1920.

Isaac Ham who married Malinda Hickison

I am looking for any information on Isaac Ham born approximately 1820-1840. He shows up on the Carter co., KY census in 1850, however there are two of them. One is 4 years old according to census and the other was c12. My Isaac married Malinda Hickison/Hickerson and they had one child, a son, Oscar Edwin Ham who died in Preble Co., OH in 1938. The story from my grandmother who knew Oscar said that Isaac left them when he was but 4 years old. He never saw or heard from his father again. HIs mother remarried. Do not know who she remarried to as this was much later. This family was in Fleming Co., KY. Would like information on both Isaac and Malinda.

Roscoe Conkling Ham was born on May 1, 1885 in Kansas City (Jackson Co.), MO. As of 1927, he lived in Oskaloosa (Jefferson Co.), KS. On Oct. 17, 1927, he lived in Leavenworth, KS. On May 23, 1927, he joined the Sons of the American Revolution, on behalf of the service of his Revolutionary War ancestor, Samuel Ham.

Roscoe Ham died on Apr. 19, 1949 in Tarrant Co., TX.

I'm trying to get info on ancestors of my GGgrandfather, Robert "Bob" Ward(b.26 Aug 1833 d.3 Oct 1880) who lived in Fayette Co.,AL.He married Louisa Mariah Ham (b.20 Jul 1835 d.20 Dec 1928) and they had 9 children. I am looking for any information on my great-grandmother Emmaline Rebekah Ham(m)of Alabama b:5/26/1865 d: 5/25(?)1941,who married William H(enry)Perkins of MS in 1880. They lived in the Panola Co./Lafayette Co. area. My grandmother's bible said Emmaline had 7 given names (she thinks from her sisters?). I have 5 of them listed as Sarah Elizabeth Louisa Emmaline Rebecca (in no particular order). I need ANY information on Emmaline's family as I can locate no mention of relatives in any family bibles.

Emmaline and William had at least 10 children (some may have died early). Some of the names are: Cora (my grandmother), Clemmie, Willie, David, Edward Lee, Clifton, and Simon.

Dave Ham suggested I seek info from SC HAM researchers. I am searching for the ancestors of my g-g-g-grandfather, John HAM, b. 1812 in KY. I have been told, but not able to verify yet, that he died in 1878.

John HAM m. Ellender "Nellie" FRAKES in 1832 in Perry County, IN. His family is listed in the Perry County, IN censuses from 1840 thru 1870. Although Nellie was supposedly alive in 1880, I cannot find her in the census.

John is listed as "cannot read or write" in all censuses which listed this choice. His first occupation is listed as "farmer". However, the area of Perry County that he settled did not have good farmland. The subsequent censuses listed his occupation as "laborer" and "farm laborer".

I have not been able to find out anything of John's ancestry for several years. Can anyone help?

I am looking for any information concerning my great, great grandmother. He name was Isabel Ham.....married to Harvey E. Ham. Her maiden name was Isabel Rice. She was supposedly born about 1818. Harvey E. Ham was born about 1815 in Bourbon Co. Ky. He and Isabel, and their children are listed on a 1860 Census living in Beech Creek Township, Greene Co., Indiana.
Any information about Isabel Rice would be greatly appreciated, as I can find no information on her at all, and am thinking she came, somehow, from the Indian Territories of the Dakotas.

I am looking for information about Harvey E. Ham. He was born in 1816 in Bourbon Co., Ky.....and is listed in an 1860 Census living in Beech Creek Township, Greene Co., Indiana. He was married to an "Isabel Rice" in 1838 in Monroe Co.....marriage license is on file. Isabel is actually who I'm looking for. I can find NO evidence of her kinship anywhere, and was wondering if she'd come from the Indian Territories of the Dakotas.
They had many children.....Thomas, Delila, Lawson, Nancy Ann (my great grandmother), John, Charles, Sarah, and Lucinda.
If anyone could share any information about any of these folks, it would be greatly appreciated.

Her parents were James M. Ham (b. abt 1847 LA) and Martha F. Unknown (of MS). James and Martha had 6 children (that I know of from an 1880 Census in Gonzales Co., Tx)

Here's the strange thing, my step-father is also related to Mary Lou Ham, one of her brothers is his grandfather. Have not found the connection at this point. These were very large families, and there could have been more children.
My step-father had an great-aunt named Marie Ham (not sure how spelled, either Ham, Hamm, or Hamn). Marie was b. abt 1900, she married a Mr. Hanks. Her brother was named Johnnie and I'm guessing he was born abt. 1913. My step-father said there were many many children in his dad's family. They originated from Louisiana.
That's all the information I have. It would be nice to hear from either side of this family!!

Samuel (S R) Ham family

Samuel, Ann, Mary I(Isabella) Ham along with an Edward Leeson were enumerated in the 1880 TX Milam Co Census.

S R Ham, Ann, W(William) C Boyd and L(Locke) B Boyd are enumerated together in the 1870 TN Davidson Co Census. William and Locke are Ann's half-brothers.

They are not listed with her in the 1880 TX census, so I don't know if they came to Milam Co with her and Samuel. I have found some Boyds in Limestone and Freestone Counties, but I have not connected to them as of yet.

Mary I Ham would have been 18 in 1890 Census. And probably married by the 1900 Census, maybe even the 1890 Census. Does anyone have a connection to these families? Anyone have the knowledge of who Mary I Ham married?

KY on Aug 1848 and died on Sept 18, 1914 in Harrison Co. KY. He was married to Tollie Williams. I do have a certified death certificate of Berton Richard Ham. I am trying to find out who was his parents - it's said on the death certificate - father is James T. Ham (birthplace - not known) and mother (not known and also birthplace is not known). Also I do have a copy of marriage certificate of Burton R. Ham & Polly Ann Williams. They were married on December 4, 1886 in Harrison Co Ky. Also who witnessed to this marriage was McWhiliker Oscar Kinnard & others. I do have the book of Nicholas Co KY and there were lot of Ham/Hamm in there. I am at the brick wall with this one. After researching the HAM surname in Virginia for over ten years, and co-authoring a three volume work on the HAM surname, we now have a different tactic for the research of HAM immigrants to the US.

I would like to announce that I have started a HAM DNA Project, and am looking for participants.
I believe that the DNA research should only tell you if you are related, but not exactly how or when the connection occurred.
If we have enough research, it should take some of the guessing more accurate.

william ham of saint louis missouri(county) married caroline walker her maiden name was caroline jourdan:children were:william,belle,vina,camelia,step daughter joetta walker,mother in law name was viola jourdan.all are on the 1880 census. i have information from the 1870 census.all lived in saint louis:bonhomme,and saint louis city.any info on this family would be appreciated.

Still looking for information on a "Joseph Houston Hamm(Ham)" aka "Huse Ham"; "Joe H. Hamm"; born abt Sept 1874 in Alabama ; moved to Mississippi, unknown when. On 1900, 1910,1920 MS census. Wife was "Mary Floyd" from Georgia. Do not have any earlier info on this line.
