Hello Hamann researchers,

it is only two weeks since I posted my message about the
Hessian soldiers named HAMANN, I did get some response
from Quebec researchers where Nikolaus and Konrad Hamann
settled after the American revolution. We do know from the
military records that 'Peter' disappeared in the U.S.A. in
1781, and we also found out that 'Jakob' Hamann did return
home to his place of birth in Langstadt near Darmstadt in
Hessen, and got married and lived a long and happy life.
There are still some questions who Konrad married and
when, there seem to be two candidates with a similar name,
but we will find out in time. We researchers are a patient
bunch, aren't we?
Cheers,
John Merz, Hessian soldier researcher.
