I am trying to find out more info on my ancestor, Solomon Hamby. What I know is:
the 1820 Dorchester Coo, MD census lists him there, and the 1830 Gwinnett Co, Ga, census shows him living there. He had three sons I know of: Greenberry Hamby (my line), Joseph H. Hamby and Thomas J. Hamby. Greenberry married Elizabeth Mclemore on 7 Aug 1832, Newton County, Georgia. Their children were:

Rudolphus J Hamby
Nicey Ann Hamby
Mary J Hamby
William W Hamby(my line)

I really would like to find out who Solomon's wife was, and if he did in fact immigrate to this country and where from/when. Any info whatsoever would be greatly valued and appreciated. He was my great-great-great grandfather.
