There is a Mt. Pleasant Cemetery at 375 Broadway in Newark. It dates to about 1845. Its phone number is 973-483-0288. I would suggest you call and see if they have a burial record for the person you are looking for. If you find your relative and get a plot location, let me know and I will see if I can get to the cemetery and take a photo for you since I work in Newark.
