Hello Gady,
My name is Sean Hammel with family being from Oklahoma for several generations now. What I do know is my grandfather was Raymond Frederick. His Father's name was Frederick, Grandfather John, and I am inclined to believe his Great Grandfather was Julius (immigrated to U.S. in or around 1850 at the age of 19-20. I do know that our family line traveled south from Indiana and settled in Oklahoma. What I don't know is ultimately where my immigrant relatives came from (current burial site is Burchfield Cemetery in Greer Township, Warrick County, Indiana). I have always been told it would not be a surprise to find out our ancestry was Jewish; however, was raised in Christian environment. My wife and I have been drawn to raise our family in a Torah observant environment, and curious for this strong draw! It is this draw that has prompted me to search out my ancestry. Any thoughts or suggestions on how to continue my search?
