I have, for over 20 years, researched Canadian mining legend John Edward (Jack) Hammell. He was born at Beeton, Ontario, in 1876, and died at his estate in Oakville, Ontario, in 1958. He was a mining promoter who got several mines in Northern Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario into production. I wonder if anyone has photographs or papers or references to Jack? I have been unable to find if his papers were saved, or where they would be if they were saved.
