Hello,

I am tracing my fathers side and am stuck...Here is what I have:
My father, Michael Eldon Dewitt is the son of Harvey Elden Hammond.

Harvey was born 17 JUN 1937 in Alabama, (Haven't narrowed it down yet), and died 14 AUG 2000 in Colorado.

Harvey's Dad was Milton (Bill) Hammond, Born 19 FEB 1913 in Alabama, an Obituary places him in Cullman Alabama. He died 5 FEB 1994 in Akron Ohio. Most of his family eventually migrated and now live in or around Akron.

Milton (Bill) Hammond was Married to an Audrey Skipper, (Also from Alabama) who was born 8 JAN 1919, died 2 FEB 1998, her parents were Wiley(Spelling?) Skipper, and Julie, or Julia Barksdale. This information is from a Family Bible from Audrey now owned by Harvey's Widow.

Milton and Audrey had many children including, Jay, Sonny, Harvey, Robert, Larry, John, Barbara, Kathy, and Linda.

Milton's brothers from the Obit. are Bernie, (Found on SSDI, issued in AL), and Vernie, (Can't find him at all).

No references are made to Miltons parents at all. I found them on the 1930 AL census, but am not able to purchase it yet.

Michael
