I have a great uncle, William M. Hammonds, b. before 1800 and lived in Franklin Co.,NC. I have not been able to find a marriage record on him. His brother, Jesse H. is my gggrand-father. I have found William in a number of records in Franklin Co., but feel that he moved somewhere else, as the H.'s disappeared from Franklin Co. after a number of years. There was also a William Hammonds in Nash Co at that time. My William's parents were Charles and Rahab Manning Hammonds. If we make a connection, please let me know.
