Searching for ancestor information for George Hammonds (spelling) born about 1850 in Cleburn TEXAS, USA area and wife, Betty. Lived in George Creek Texas about 1886. Lived on a farm and may have worked as a Blacksmith. Married to Betty (her family were Cherokee from Tennessee). They had several children, son Johnny who died as youth, my great-grandmother, Jennie Alice Pinkston, Minne May, and Maylinda "Peggy" Margarita. (Children were all listed as "white" in census records.) George died a few years after Maylinda was born, about 1890. (Betty remarried a Mr. M.E. Cooper of Marshall County, TN). Betty passed same year of marriage in Columbia, TN. Any leads to find George's &/or wife, Betty's parents, please reply. Thank you.
