Debbie,
Hi, this is Stormy Gail Phillips Neal, Leroy and Sue Phillips' youngest daughter. How are you and your family? Doing well I hope. We are all doing good. Mom and dad are doing good. I know that you get to see dad at the reunions a lot. Where did you find the name of Emmie Fay for my grandmother? According to her birth certificate that I have, her name was Emma Paralee. I have searched for her under both names and the only one that I come up with anything is Emma Paralee. I also have the orginal marriage license that was issued to them. Ma signed her name Emmie. I am not sure if that was a nick name or what. My dad is not sure where the name Emmie came from either. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Stormy

WILL OF JOHN HAMMONS, B. 1748, NC, D. 1825, TN.

Does anyone have a copy of the will of John Hammons, born 1748, probably in Surry Co. NC, died in Warren County Tennessee in 1825? I am trying to complete a list of his children and perhaps link Charles Hammons (1796-1860) as a son and my gggrandmother, Elizabeth Hammons Henderson (1808-1860), as a daughter. Charles (and wife Eliza) and Elizabeth (and husband King Henderson) both moved from Tennessee to Jackson Co., Alabama at about the same time and then both moved with their families again to Cherokee County Texas and appear in the 1850 census there. I know they are also kin to Leroy, Houston, and Woodson Hammons. Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

The lawsuit is about 64 pages on 11 x 17 size paper. The cost will be about $17.00
However, there is a lot of informaion.
James Hammons

I am looking for my great grandfather James Hammons, Bartlesville, OK, Washington Co. He had two daughters (Mulva and Anna Bell) by my great grandmother Ida ? When the girls were 8 or 9 he shows up in the census again married to Alma (who was 18 and he was about 36). They then had two children a girl named Ethel and a boy named James. My father (Infield line - Anna Bell married Tine Infield) has confirmed this information to this point, but he doesn't know what his real grandmother's name is or anything else to help me located a link from James Hammons to his parents or line. I can't find out what happened to the Ethel but James the son died in Bartlesville, OK in the late 70's or early 80's. I believe he originated from KY. Does this ring any bells with anyone related to the Hammons line? He owned and operated a grocery store in Bartlesville, OK during the 60's called Hammons grocery. I cannot find a link to his parents and have been stuck for about 10 years. Please if you think you have any information, let me know. One more thing, my dad said his hair was so red that everyone called him "Red". Thank you much.

Hammons--Tennessee

I am searching for information on the James Thomas Allen Hammons family. I am the grandaughter of Ruby Guy Hammons Quinn. Her father was James Thomas Allen Hammons and Edith Florence Snow. He is the son of Edmond Guy Hammons(I think this is correct) and Elizabeth Roberts. I have found that most of the Hammons children were born in Hardeman County, Tennessee. I am also searching for any old family photos. Thanks again.

In reply to your Pruitt family from Georgia. I cannot help you. Our Pruitt family was in Tennessee and left there and settled in southern Illinois and some went to Indiana. To my knowledge none of our Pruitt family went to Georgia. Sorry I could not help. Thanks for making an inquiry anyway. One never knows what they will find when they turn over a new stone.
