Hamons from Kentucky

My father was born in Paducha, Kentucky in 1919. His mother was Annie Hamon or Hamons. The family was wealthy and she was only 15. She was born in 1904. He was given away. There seems to be Hamons in Kentucky, McCracken County. The word Kentucky and Hamon comes up a great deal. It is possible they are part of the same family. I would like to find out who my grandmother was. Unfortunately, secrets about birth records are difficult to unravel; especially secrets from the early 20th century.
