I am researching the Hampels or Hamples. My great great grandfather was Louis Hampel born abt. 1835 in Hesse Darnstadt. He lived in Watsontown,PA. His naturalization papers are from Schyulkil Co. PA. He died in 1903. His obit states a brother Jacob in Iowa. Seams we might have some connection here. I am new to this research. If we can share anything or if this info helped you let me know. Thanks
