I would be interested to know if your Michael Hampsey was born in Ireland but left from Paisley in Scotland to the USA and if you happened to know anything about his parents.my great,great grandfathers brother was An Arthur Hampsey who married an Agnes Gribben in Garvagh,Northern Ireland but moved to Scotland .They had two sons who left for America they were John& Michael Hampsey.Michael was born about 1843-44 in Ireland.Hope that this info could tie in with your family.
