I am looking for any information on the Hampsey family who lived in the Eastern USA and Scotland or Ireland.

Hi all,

I have recently found that Catherine Hampsey, b. 1852 Ireland (likely Londonderry) m. James Corr, b. 1851 about 1870. They had 7 known children; Patrick, James, John, Mary, Henry, Bernard, and Annie.

Between 1893 and 1901 the family had moved to Glasgow Scotland as they appear on the 1901 census. One of their neighbours was a James Hampsie widower, with a daughter Mary. Not sure if there is a connection there yet, but you never know.

Anyone see anything familiar?

hi, i was wondering if u guys can help me. I want 2 start ma family tree but no one in ma family seems to know anything! My grandad is Henry Hampsey and he was from Scotland, he married ma gran Elizabeth,Scottish as well and they had three children Elizabeth, Patrick and Henry(my dad). My grandad was in the navy and was in world war 2. I know its no much but thats all i have! All info welcome!

John Hampsey and Hazel Irene (Locke) Hampsey

My Great Aunt Hazel Irene Locke Born 1905, married a John Hampsey when I dont know.....as far as I know they lived in the Toronto area. Her father was Charles Henry Locke and Her mother was Mary (Gibeau) Locke.....Where John Hampsey was originally from I am not sure.....She was one of 9 living children.
