Surnames: Hampton, Reynolds, Vanatta, McCumber
Weird.....not the exact same ones but I have a great grandfather named JOHN EDWARD HAMPTON b.1858 Ill. that married a MARIAH REYNOLDS B. 1861 Ill. Weird thing is he also had a sister named CATHERINE. Their parents were THOMAS JEFFERSON HAMPTON b. 1822-26 and SARAH ANN McCUMBER b.1822-26. I think Thomas and Sarah were born in Ohio.
My Hamptons branch from MOSES HAMPTON b. New Jersey and HANNAH VANATTA,VANNATTA,VANNATTA b. New Jersey. Nobody seems to be sure of her last name spelling.
Do you have any of these names in your files?? If so then maybe we can connect them somewhere. Sure hope so.
