I saw a post on genweb that a person named Kacee Hamre went to Leikanger. Was that you? My ancestors were originally Christopherson's, but were from the Hamre Indre Farm in Leikanger. Two children came to the US in the mid 1880s. I also have Hukes in my ancestry too. I have been trying to find some good pictures of Leikanger and / or the Hamre farm.
