Hello other Hamres. I am a 21 year old Hamre. My grandfather, Alvin C. Hamre in California is really into doing our family tree. He has been back to both Norway and Sweden tracing our roots. Well, because of his intrest in our family, I also became interested. I love finding out about other Hamres. Until September of 1999, I knew that there were other Hamres but had never seen any anywhere. Well, while driving to Ohio, I saw an Illinios liscence plate, Hamre 1.
