Hanre's in WI?

I am interested in finding some information out on a Hjelmer Hamre. He married a Martha Moe and they had a daughter that was born in Wisconsin, named Ruth. We believe that Hjelmer is from South Dakota. We aren't even sure if that is how he spelled his first name. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
