Meaning of Hamrak

Smelting must be in the genes. My Father, Edward J. Hamrak was a steelworker. When the United States entered Worl War 11 he was sent to Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh to learn the process of making armored plates for the ships. It was a classified occupation that defered him from the draft. I thought that was an interesting coincidence! Our name has an interesting Germanic root. Always, Terry Hamrak Hart
