Gosh, Mike! That is quite a coincidence! "Our" Stephan Hamrock's was born in Pennsylvania, too (Johnstown) and lived in Ohio (Akron and Canton) and his father was also a John Hamrock! But the dates are different-- our Ernest Stephan Hamrock was 1913-1973. His wife just died this past September, by the way.

It sure would seem like our Ohio / Pennsylvania Hamrocks have got to have a connection somewhere. Ours were, evidently, German, but I've yet to find their papers. How about yours?
