Hello. Maybe I found this message board a bit late, according to dates of all yours messages. But I read all this messages and I was surprised to such interest of finding name Hamrock. My name is Metod Hamracek. My father Cyril Hamracek born in Youngstown (22.8.1925) as son of Jozef Hamracek (born 7.9.1879, Teplička, Slovakia). By building a genealogical tree I discover, that some of my familly members living in U.S. called themselves Hamrock. (Mick Hamrock, Youngstown, Ohio, son of Michael Hamrock, whom is a nephew of my grandfather Jozef Hamracek).
My ancestry come from Teplička (near Spišská Nová Ves). In my genealogical tree occur names Hamracek but Hamrak too.
If somebody is interesting in closer information, please write to hamracekm@post.sk. I would be glad to hear from anyone and I can offer my genealogy tree to you. I have a digital chronicle of Teplička so if somebody of you is interesting, I can offer you some detailed informations or photos too.
I am interesting in general origin of „Hamrock“ so I would be gratefully for every kind of information.
Yours sincerely Metod Hamráček, Spišská Nová Ves, Slovakia
