Willsboro — Loren W. Hams, 76, of Station Road in Willsboro, died at his home Saturday, July 22, 2000, after a long illness.
He was born in Westport on Nov. 24, 1923, the son of George and Katherine (Graves) Hams.
Mr. Hams was a member of the Willsboro United Methodist Church and the Willsboro American Legion Post 405, for over 55 years. He was also a member and Past Master of Iroquois Lodge 715 F&AM in Essex and a former member of the Willsboro Fish and Game Club.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce (Brown) Hams; one daughter, Lorna Marx of Beekmantown; two grandsons, Bret W. Marx of New Mexico and Cale T. Marx of North Carolina; and two sisters-in-law, Sadie Hams and Rona Hams, both of Willsboro.
He was predeceased by three brothers, Roy, Ray and Guy.
Calling hours will be held at the Huestis Funeral Home in Willsboro on Sunday, July 23, 2000, from 7 to 9 p.m. A masonic service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Monday, July 24, 2000, at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Willsboro Rescue Squad.
