I have heard of some history back to Greece but
I haven't been able to trace it back yet. My
Father is Edward Ballard Hamson his father is
Leroy married to Louisa Dennis Hamson.
His father was George K.Hamson Jr.married to
Eleanor Tobey Hamson. I believe his father
was George K Hamson. I haven't been able to back further than that
on that side. My Grandfather's brother was
Elmer married to Gretchen I am in the process
of placing it on the Marblehead Hamson's Web site
here.I found a cousin by accident Donald
Hamson who is I think a son of Elmer. His
email hapened to be dhamson1@mediaone.net
Someone writing to him had accidentaly left
out the 1 and I got his e-mail and found
some cousins that had moved to N.H.
We have traced back to the Revolution to
a direct cousin that fought so my aunt could
have my cousins apply for a DAR scholarship.
