These folks had settled for a time in La Fayette County WI. Having a farm to the west of Darlington countyy seat) on which there was once a school house termed Hamstreet school (often times written Homestreet or Homstreet by transcribers).
One of your Charles' brothers had remained in Darlington itself for quite some time.
