I am the daughter of Harry Paul Hanagriff and the granddaughter of Harry Hayes Hanagriff. I believe "my" Harry Hayes Hanagriff was christened "Adam Henry" Hanagriff as the records show this man with the birthdate of my grandfather, who was the son of John Hanagriff. Another Harry Hayes Hanagriff was born about 3 years earlier and was the son of Matthieu (or Matthew) Hanagriff and Virginie Bonite Watkins. I have the family tree pretty well filled in to Matthieu who was born in Ohio but was in Louisiana before 1850 when he appeared on the census of that year in Terrebonne Parish.
