Not much help, but my son is Thomas Hanahan. Thomas is not a name we have seen in the family tree. Most of the Hanahans in the Southeastern US came over from Ireland in the 17th and 18th centuries and landed on Edisto Island. There are lots of gravestones in the cemetaries there. The Hanahans married Seabrooks, Jenkinses, Graysons, Samses, Mikells, Rosses, and Ogiers, to name a few. They are scattered all over from South Carolina to Georgia to Alabama. There are at least 150 families across the country and we have a family reunion every 5 years or so, here in Charleston. Hope that helps!
