Dear Eileen,
I have never heard of the place called
Runagry.What county is it in?
The place Carragorra (spelling Carrowgarve)
is in mid-north mayo about 6 miles out side
Crosmolina,about 16 miles from Ballina.
It is a 10 mile radius of bog and forest with only 10-15 people living there
today.I know the place very well because my
grandparents live there in the "family home" there.
My family arrived to Carrowgrave in the 1600's
from Bellmulit,Blacksod.
Carrowgarve is very bleak these days because
most people have emmigrated.Despite this I
always visit 2 or 3 times a year to see
my relations. For move information it is well
worth getting in to contact with the Heritage
center in Crosmolina co Mayo
Regards
