I am looking for information on the Hanak family. This was my grandmother's maiden name. Her father was George, his father was Louis. I believe they were born in or around Zento, Hungary. My grandmother was born 4/2/1900 and came to America in 1911. Her father and mother came a few years before that. She came with her grandmother, a brother and I think a sister(the sister may have been born here). They settled in the southern Michigan, northern Iniana area, though they did spend some time in Texas and Louisisana. My grandmother married Paul A Boros (a widower with a small son, Andy) in 1917 and they had six more children. I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has any knowledge or connection.

Husband's Grandmother, Julia Hanak Married Frank Kempl About 1920. Julia's Father's name was James, or Ignace, or Ignus Hanak. Her mother was Rosa or Rosella. They were in the Detroit, Michigan area in early 1900's. Looking for any info in the area. Thanks. Cindy

Hanaks in Connecticut

I am looking for any Hanaks in Connecticut. Ann, Macy and John are my great aunts and uncles. Ann Was married to Michael Kindel Sr. and had two children, Michael and Georgie. She also had three half siblings, Irene, Ethel, and Helen. The mother of the Hanaks, Ann, was married a second time to Joseph Kondis.

Elizabeth Hanak / Hannak / Hanack / Hannack

Hello all,
Looking for any information on an Elizabeth Hannack, not sure of the last name, my grandmother says Hanack..but she wasn't too sure. She would have married an Edward John Odermatt, sometime in to 1800's. Any help is appreciated.

Phew, this is a small board! In Fairmount Memorial Cemetery records, Spokane, WA the following graves were found:

Ella D HANNAK, interred 9/18/1892, age 23
Adelaide, HANNAK, interred 9/28/1892, age 17 days
Anna L. HANNAK, interred 4/1/1893, age 3

They are in a DANIEL family plot and the assumption is that Ella was a Daniel. However, there is no HANNAK to be found in Spokane in that era, but there is the following:

HANAK, John at 403 East Front Street, Spokane Falls, WA. This is in an 1890 Spokane directory. Unfortunately there is no census for 1890 in that area.

Does anyone have a clue please?

We are trying to find lost Jackson cousins from Idaho and California and would appreciate any information on your side of the family.
