My grandmother is Pauline (Polly) Adams (Handbury). I believe her and her sister Beatrice are the last alive (maybe Thomas??). I believe Florence past away a few months after my grandfather Lester (Polly's husband) in either late 2004 or early 2005?? Does this sound correct to you??

I was doing this research about 2 yrs ago, so i can't remember it all as clearly as i like, but the (my) Annie Auriol came also from Canada in the late 1800's and she had a child named William (xgreat grandfather)she married Alfred and they were settled on the Annette Islands in Metlakatla. Does Metlakatla or Annette Islands mean anything? I know she also had atleast one daughter, one that she gave to either her sister or siter in law to raise because the sister could not have children of her own. I also know that she was of the clan of the Raven or the house of the frog. Something like that. Anyhow, I also know that she obtained the rights of use of her symbols and thru her all of her FEMALE descendents too. Does any of this sound familiar? thanx!

the Annie Auriol was married to Thomas Hanbury, they came over from Canada late 1800's and settled in Alaska. Maybe her mother had the same name but that is not likely as father Duncan changed all the indian names in American names. Hopefully you knw more if this sound familiar.

I don't know if this will help, but I am also curious if you know any additional info about an Annie Auriol. One of my great (x something) grandmother's is Annie Auriol, married to an Alfred Auriol. She was was born about 1855 and died around 1890. Is this the same Annie Auriol do you think?

I live in British Columbia, Canada but have family in Australia. I will check a family tree we have been researching & settting up to see what information we have that may be of help to you. When my grandfather emigrated from England to Australia his surname at that time was David William Hanbury-Smout. He later dropped the name Smout and remained with the name Hanbury. If you think there may be a connection, you may email me directly to : bounderberry@shaw.ca so we can exchange information directly. We have been trying to locate a connection to the Hanbury name. There is another Hanbury family unrelated to us that is living in British Columbia, Canada.- if there is no connection between us, maybe there is between this other family.

I have just seen your note about Edward Hanbury. My grandfather was a John Hanbury b. 1863 in Monmouthshire. His father, b. 1825 was also born in Monmouthshire. I don't think they're related to your Hanbury as I have not found a single Edward, but the purpose of my note is to suggest that you should also look for your Hanbury relative under any one of the following names: Ambury, Ambry, Ambery, Ambree, Hambry, Hambury, Hanbry and so on. I even found one relative registered as 'Anthony'. I searched for a long time before I found my grandfather, who was listed as John Ambury. Hope this may help!

I am a descendant of John Hanbury(b. 29 May 1781, d. 7 Apr 1857 in Trigg Co., Ky) who emigrated from Norfolk Co., Va. before 1820. He was a Trigg Co. Resident by 1820, per US Census of 1820. He was a soldier in the War of 1812 from the Virginia Militia. It appears his parents may have been Job Hanbury and wife Phoebe.
It appears John's brother was Thomas Hanbury who also emigrated from Norfolk Co., Va. to Trigg Co., Ky.
I would like any information you have on this family.

looking for Stephen or Veronica Hanbury/Hambury

I am looking for my cousin Stephen or his mother Veronica. Stephen was born in England around 1965 or so, to Cecil and Veronica Hanbury. Stephen was put into foster care around 1969 or so, after his mother either left, or died. I have no info on where he went or where his mother went. He has an Uncle Charles and Aunty Pam, and cousin Bettina and Simon. Bettina has three children which are Stephen's second cousins, and Simon has a dog and a cat. We all wonder how and where Stephen is and would love to hear from him, or anyone with information about him. He could be in England, the United States, or anywhere. I have been looking and asking for questions for years, and can't seem to get any answers. Stephen also has a Grandmother that is 95 years old, and would love to know that he is well and happy.
Even if he choses not to be contacted, it would be nice to know that he is healthy and having a good life.

Maria Hanbury, descendant of Benjamin Franklin

I'm searching for any information on Maria Hanbury, b. 1820 in England, the daughter of Capel Sampson Hanbury and his wife Ellen Franklin. Ellen Franklin Hanbury (1798-1875), daughter of William Temple Franklin, was the great-granddaughter of Benjamin Franklin. As a widow, Ellen lived the last twenty years of her life with her daughter and only child, Maria in Nice, France. Maria was still living in Nice in the 1870s at 11 bis, rue St. Francois en Paule, and she died unmarried. I'm hoping to find Maria's death date and any further information about the family. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Elly Fitzig
Manager, Descendants Project
The Friends of Franklin, Inc.
elly@feist.com

hi, I have been researching my father Norman Hanbury,s family name. I have found several that seem to be related but I just cannot find a definite link to tie the family name together.
Norman was norn in Tacoma Washington and had either an older brother or an uncle he lived with after both or one of his parents died in the 1918 flu epidemic. If you have any info that would help me, please contact me at view@snowcrest.net. Thank you , Ruth
