These are all my relatives...Charles is my grandfather and my father was Charles Hanford JR. He and my mother had a successful Nursery Business at the end of WW2 and all the housing was being built in and around for returning soldiers.
Morris had settled with his wife and son Chipp here in Independence..the daughter married and went to live in Nebraska...They were Yankees in a town run by southerners...Independence Missouri....In that way because of the nature of Independence it the chism created by people living here on both sides of the slave issue it was not easy socially..so they made their success a business issue..and were workaholics...This nature of working hard still runs in our family.
