Richard Hansford, 86, died June 1, 2007, in De Pere. Richard was born Feb. 21, 1921, in Green Bay, a son of the late Theodore and Mary (Christiansen) Hansford. On June 5, 1947, he married the former Helen Hooyman at St. Boniface Catholic Church in De Pere. She preceded him in death on March 30, 2002. Richard attended Green Bay West High School and then went on to the Vocational School in Green Bay. He was the owner/operator of Hansford Heating and Sheet Metal Co.
Richard is survived by his two sons, Michael (Debra), Anthem, Ariz. and Mark (Leanne), De Pere; four grandchildren, Kimberly, Kyle, Kris, and Eric; brother, Robert Hansford; three sisters, Mabel Gaeke, Doris Malfroid and Jeanie Vande Hey. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen; two infant sons; his parents; three brothers, Tony, Raymond, and Alfred; and two sisters, Helen Zinka and Elizabeth Schroeder.
Visitation for Richard will be held on Monday, June 4, 2007, at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 N. 10th St, De Pere from 4 to 8 p.m. with a Prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, June 5, 2007, at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family, corner of Suburban and Lourdes, De Pere, from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Tim Shillcox, O. Praem officiating. Burial to be in Allouez Catholic Cemetery. Please visit www.ryanfh.com
