DeWitt - John "Jack" R. Harbeck
The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, DeWitt, for John "Jack" R. Harbeck, 59, of DeWitt. He died Monday in Westwing Place Care Center, DeWitt.
The Rev. Jack Denning will officiate. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today with the family present from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. in Blazek-Hanrahan Funeral Home, DeWitt, where a parish rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Long Grove.
Mr. Harbeck was born July 17, 1927, in Rockford [Illinois], to John H. and Mary Brophy Harbeck. He married Betty Ann Stoip [wrong, should be "Stoit"], ..., in Rock Island. He was employed at Ruan as a truck driver for 20 years until his retirement in November of 1986. He was a member of St. Joseph's parish and formerly was a member of Knights of Columbus and St. Ann's Parish, Long Grove.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters...; two sons ...; four grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Michael (Mary) Reddington of Davenport, and Dolores Mack of Viola, Ill.
