I am a decendant of sarah ELIZABETH Hardesty. She was born 1844-46 in Clark County, Illinois. 6 Nov. 1864 she married Nelson Gilmore in Crawford Co. Illinois. She would be my gg-grandmother. Their daughter Rositta (Rosa ) married James Nichols in Champaign Co. Illinois 13 Sept. 1883. I have been trying to find the parents of both Elizabeth and Nelson for a very long time. Your tip that you have found an Elizabeth in 1850, age 14, and living with a John Sims is my best lead to this point. Does anyone have any information on either the Gilmore or Hardesty family mention above? I have some information and would be happy to share
