HEATH: In accordance with her wishes, there are no services planned for Della Bowman of Heath, Ohio (Licking County).
Mrs. Bowman was born on June 17, 1909 in Newark, Ohio to the late Harry and Bessie (Minnick) Hardesty.
She passed quietly on Sunday April 17, 2011 at Arlington Care Center, Newark, Ohio. She was 101 years old.
Della is preceded in death by her husband, Garland in 1981; and her brothers, Charles and Nelson Hardesty.
She is survived by her sister, Betty Amos, niece, Barbara (Glenn) Dennis, great niece, Beth; and great nephew, Shane Dennis; and nieces, Grace and Marguerite Bowman.
Raised as a devout Catholic, Della and Garland moved to the Zanesville, Ohio area for a period of time before returning to Heath, Ohio where they had the family farm.
Della touched many lives and leaves behind several close friends, including all of her beloved neighbors who took care of her over the years.
The family gives special thanks to Hospice nurse Sue Turner, the Jones Family and Donna Nichols.
There are no calling hours.
