Hare to Harris from Wuerttemberg Germany >PA>IA

Surnames: Hare, Harris, Dinges, Bentley, Willson, Wilson
Hello List,
I am trying to find a reason or a connection to my Samuel Hare b. 1800 Wuerttemberg Germany
and migrated to Union Twp., Fayette County, PA he livd there several years as a Manufacturer. He met and married Eliza Dinges and on the 1850 census they are listed as Hares.
After that they moved to Clayton County, IA and are on the 1860, census and they show up as Harris from then on.
Can anyone help me with the name change or spelling maybe diffrent in the US.
