I am looking for descendents of Chitto "Crazysnake" Harjo. He and his family lived on what was known as "Harjo Hill"Chitto and family lived in Okmulgee, OK. He had many children. The one I am interested in was Mary Harjo.
Mary and my mother were lifelong friends. They grew up together and remained close after they both married and moved to California. Mary married Ralph Morton also of Okmulgee. My mother Lucy Mae Bean married Duane Edward Sweeny Jr.
Mary and Ralph had two daughters, Mona and Pat. The last I heard from them was in mi 1960's. Ralph and Mary lived around Long Beach, CA and my family moved to Sacramento, CA. Mary was always laughing and telling jokes, she always seemed
to be a very happy person. When they were young girls in school, Mary came by my mother's house evert day and took her to school. They rode in the back of the Harjo family limozine. My mother came from a poor background and Mary always
made sure my mother had decent things to wear to school. When Mary became to ill to take care of herself my mother went to her and stayed with her until she died. They truely were friends to the end. I would like to renew an old friendship
with the girls, Mona and Pat
